Five Lenoir Residents Charged with Stolen Motor Vehicle & Obtaining Property by False Pretense
25-year-old Matthew Wade Kersey, 22-year-old Angel Gabriel Minton, and 19-year-old Abby Danielle Minton, all of Quail Ridge Court in Lenoir, along with 25-year-old Lanie Ann Sanders and 27-year-old Marquel James Jackson of Rooster Ridge Place in Lenoir, were arrested Thursday (April 27) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. All five suspect were charged with one count of misdemeanor larceny and four felonies: auto larceny, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, and obtaining property by false pretenses.
The Mintons and Sanders remained in the Caldwell County Detention Center as of earlier this morning with bond for each set at $25,000, secured. Jackson also remained in jail under a $50,000 secured bond. Kersey was given a custody release and was not listed in jail as of this morning. All five suspects were scheduled to appear in District Court on May 1 in Lenoir.
