A fire at a business that was the scene of a disturbance is under investigation.

Last Thursday (May 4) at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Burke County Sheriff’s Office responded to Styles Tavern on N.C. 18/U.S. 64 in reference to a disturbance.  The person causing the disturbance left prior to the officers arriving.

On Friday (May 5) between 5:00 a.m. – 5:30 a.m., Chesterfield Fire Rescue responded to the same location in reference to a structure fire.  The Burke County Fire Marshal along with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation. Anyone with information on the structure fire is asked to contact the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500.
