33-year-old Desta Theron Carson was arrested Monday (February 8) by authorities in Burke County. He’s charged with felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance and probation violation. In addition, Carson is charged with misdemeanor counts of failure to appear and driving while license revoked. Carson was arrested shortly before 2 p.m. Monday. He was being held in jail in Morganton under $76,000 secured bond. A court date was scheduled today (February 9).
