39-year-old Richard Ashley Rich was arrested Tuesday (February 9) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two felony counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance and one felony count of failure to appear on a felony. Rich was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and placed in jail in Morganton under $30,000 secured bond. A court appearance was scheduled today (February 10).
