44-year old Joseph Carroll Matthews of Taylorsville was arrested Tuesday (January 24) by Taylorsville Police Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver schedule II controlled substance along with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthews was confined in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $10,000 following the arrest. He has since been released. A District Court date is set for next Monday (January 30).
