Felony Drug Arrests Reported By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office reports a pair of recent drug arrests in which felony charges were filed.

33-year-old Keith Edward Hoover of Stony Point was arrested on March 17. Hoover was charged with felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of heroin. Hoover is also charged with misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with an outstanding order for arrest for previous drug charges. Hoover was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center following the arrest under a $7,500 secured bond. He is not listed as an inmate in Alexander County today (March 30). The next District Court date for Hoover is set for April 11.

18-year-old Jeremiah Kole Elder of Taylorsville was arrested Monday (March 28). He’s charged with felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of methamphetamine. Elder is also charged with misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance (clonazepam) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Elder was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $8,500 secured bond. He is not listed as an inmate in Alexander County today. A District Court appearance is scheduled for April 18.
