One person died as the result of a crash at approximately 6 a.m. today (January 10) on NC Highway 127 in Alexander County. Reports indicate that two vehicles were involved in the incident. The highway was closed following the wreck from Blankenship Road to Willie Mcloud Road. No names had been released as of earlier today. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation.
