The Catawba Valley Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams will be holding a special “Meet the Red Hawks” basketball kickoff event on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at the Tarlton Complex.

Those in attendance will be treated to live music and get a chance to get their first look at the 2023-24 Red Hawk mens’ and women’s basketball teams, including players and coaches.

There will be two intrasquad games and 3-point contests during the event as well as giveaways for prizes for those in attendance.

Copies of the Red Hawk men’s and women’s basketball schedule posters will also be available.

“Meet the Red Hawks” serves as a tune up for next Saturday’s Red Hawk women’s basketball scrimmage jamboree, which starts at 10 a.m., and also the Red Hawk men’s basketball team’s scrimmage against Catawba College at 6 p.m. Saturday.
