Event Scheduled This Weekend To Raise Proceeds For Service Animals For Veterans, First Responders

An event is scheduled that will raise money to provide service animals to military members and those who serve locally. The Anytime Fitness Games is scheduled for this Saturday (April 30) in Caldwell County. The event is a team-based obstacle course race and will be held starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Patterson School on Patterson School Drive off Highway 268 north of Lenoir.

The event will include southern-style barbeque, a cornhole tournament, a Jeep show, and a beer tent. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to provide service animals for veterans and first responders. The event organizers are working with Tennessee Blueline Sheperds and Fortified K9 to train and provide the dogs. For more information go to www.anytimefitnessgames.com.
