Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 61-year-old James Arlon Speaks of Taylorsville on Thursday (May 28).

Investigators say Speaks was charged with felony conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine. He was booked into the Alexander County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.

Speaks (pictured) was scheduled to make a Monday (June 1) first court appearance.
