Details Released On Arrests Of Three S.C. Residents In Catawba County Drug Case

41-year-old Sentell L. Bailey of Goose Creek, 48-year-old Angela Marie Gibson of Branchville, and 62-year-old David Shine of North Charleston, all from South Carolina, have all been arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on felony drug charges. WHKY previously reported on their arrests Tuesday (May 23), more details have been released regarding this case.

Bailey and Shine were both charged with conspiracy to sell methamphetamine. Gibson and Shine were both charged with trafficking in meth; two counts for Gibson and one count for Shine. In addition, Gibson faces felony counts of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for a controlled substance and the manufacture, sale, distribution, or possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

A multi-agency investigation spanning several months resulted in the identification and arrests of the suspects in this case. Authorities determined that they were out of state narcotics traffickers bringing drugs into Catawba County. During the investigation, detectives and agents seized more than 1,100 grams of meth, 24 grams of fentanyl and $3052 in United States currency.

The suspects were jailed Monday (May 22) in the Catawba County Detention Facility. Bailey was given a $200,000 bond. Gibson’s bond was set at $155,000, while Shine was held under a $150,000 bond. All three remained in jail as of earlier today. Bailey and Shine are scheduled to be in District Court June 12, Gibson has a District Court date June 13. Charges for trafficking in fentanyl and other offenses are pending, according to police reports.
