More information has been released in the arrest of 24-year-old Austin Tate Mullins of Greensboro. Mullins has also listed an address in Lenoir, and he has been listed as a homeless person from Morganton. He was arrested by Hickory Police Tuesday night (December 29) on felony and misdemeanor drug charges, and he was served with an out-of-state felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. His arrest was reported yesterday (December 30) on WHKY. The fugitive warrant is from Wise County, Virginia, where Mullins is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for a felony probation violation stemming from several felony drug charges.
Mullins remains in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility where he is being held without bond on the fugitive warrant. Bond on the Hickory drug charges was set at $25,000, secured. He was scheduled to appear in District Court today (December 31) in Newton.
