CVCC Enters Agreement With Mars Hill

Catawba Valley Community College and Mars Hill University recently announced an articulation agreement for students of the Criminal Justice program at CVCC.

The agreement provides CVCC students a seamless transition into the online B.S. in Criminal Justice program at Mars Hill University, a private liberal arts college just outside of Asheville.

Students must graduate with their associate degree in CVCC prior to continuing their education at Mars Hill University.

Sherry Herman, Department Head of Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Education at CVCC, connected with Mars Hill University regarding this unique opportunity for students to continue their education and pursue their career goals.

She believes that this collaboration between CVCC and Mars Hill University will “undoubtedly support many aspiring professionals in the field.”

Clyde Deal, Chief of Security and Law Enforcement Education at CVCC, is also excited to “add additional pathways for our students who choose to make the transition from CVCC into the university setting. We are constantly striving to help our students access the best opportunities available at any level of higher education, and our department cannot wait to see the benefits that this partnership brings to our students.”
