HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) — The Hickory Crawdads will become the Hickory Goat-Karts during a three-game weekend featuring fireworks, a bobblehead giveaway, craft beer and classic cars.

The weekend begins tonight when the Goat-Karts host the Augusta GreenJackets at 7 p.m. at L.P. Frans Stadium. The game will include recognition of local heroes and a fireworks show following the final out.

Saturday’s 7 p.m. game will feature a Goat-Kart bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. The giveaway is sponsored by James River Equipment and WHKY 1290 AM and 102.3 FM.

The Crawdads will also hold their annual Bases and Brews craft-beer tasting event Saturday. A $25 registration includes a ticket to the game, a tasting glass and admission to the party patios for craft-beer samples.

The weekend concludes Sunday with a classic car show before the 2 p.m. game. Sunday is also Church Bulletin Sunday. Fans presenting a church bulletin can purchase a $6 ticket, with $4 donated to the church named in the bulletin.
