A Sunday morning (June 7) crash in Hickory resulted in power outages and a road closure. Between 150-200 power outages were reported by Duke Energy. As of 6:45 p.m. only one outage was reported.

Officials confirmed with WHKY that Highway 127 was closed from 20th Avenue NE to 16th Avenue NE. The closure was so that workers could repair power lines that came down following the crash.

Highway 127 was closed for several hours. The Hickory Fire Department reported that the road was reopened by late this afternoon. No additional details have been released regarding the crash.
