120 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed yesterday (December 13) in Catawba County, raising the total to 9,119 with 119 deaths. There are 89 people hospitalized with the coronavirus in Catawba County.
On Saturday (December 12), Caldwell County health officials learned of the county’s 53rd COVID-19-related death. The patient was between the ages of 50 and 64, hospitalized, and was reported to have underlying health conditions. 39 new cases of the virus were confirmed Saturday in Caldwell County, increasing the overall total to 4,336. There are 35 people hospitalized with the coronavirus in Caldwell.
Burke County’s COVID-19 dashboard currently shows 5,011 cases in Burke County since the start of the pandemic, an increase of 65 since Friday’s (December 11) report. There have been 75 coronavirus-associated deaths in Burke County.
The North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services reports a total of 2,044 cases of the virus in Alexander County with 21 deaths, an increase of 104 since the Friday update.
