A COVID-19-associated death was reported by Catawba County Public Health today (November 11), increasing the total to 71 since the start of the pandemic. In addition, 56 new coronavirus cases were confirmed, raising the total to 5,368. Hospitalizations rose by two to 41.
13.2% of the Catawba County residents who were tested for COVID were positive for the virus. The death rate among those who test positive is 1.3%. There were 3,119 new coronavirus cases reported today in North Carolina, it’s the first time the state has topped 3,000 new cases in one day.
