COVID-19 Hospitalizations Fall Again In Catawba County, Virus-Related Deaths Reported In Three Counties: Wednesday Morning Update

COVID-19 hospitalizations fell once again Tuesday (March 2) in Catawba County. The total dropped to 20, from 32 on Monday (March 1). There were four virus-related deaths reported Tuesday in Catawba County, increasing the total to 287. 25 new cases were reported, raising the total to 17,115.

Two COVID-19-related deaths were reported Tuesday in Caldwell County, increasing the total to 136. There were 33 new cases reported Tuesday, raising the total to 8,716. 14 people were hospitalized. The Alexander County Health Department reported three additional virus-related deaths Tuesday, increasing the total to 84. Just one new case was reported in Alexander County, increasing the total to 3,919. There were 13 people hospitalized.

Ten new cases of the coronavirus were reported Tuesday in Burke County, lifting the total to 9,460, with 140 deaths. Hospitalizations fell to seven as of Tuesday.
