Three COVID-19-related deaths were reported today (July 29) by Catawba County Public Health, increasing the overall total to 27. 28 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed today, increasing the overall total to 1,825. There are 17 Catawba County residents hospitalized with COVID-19, two fewer than Tuesday (July 28).
All of the statistics on the Catawba County COVID-19 dashboard are updated on Wednesday. Today’s numbers show a total of 15,319 tests completed with 13,519 negative results. 11.7% of those tested have been positive for the coronavirus. At least 1,483 Catawba County patients have recovered. The death rate in Catawba County is just under 1.5%.
