41-year-old James Andrew Brown of Sherwood Heights Road in Morganton was arrested last Saturday (January 21) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of a weapon by a felon. According to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction website, Brown has multiple convictions dating back to 1998. He’s been convicted of various felony crimes with the last occurring in April, 2015. Following Brown’s arrest, he was given a $5,000 secured bond. He is not listed as an inmate in Burke County today (January 27). Brown’s next District Court date is set for February 13.
