Construction is continuing on the Smith Crossroads sewer line replacement project in Lenoir. The City of Lenoir is investing $2.8 million to replace 3,800 feet of sewer line that runs from the Mayflower Seafood Restaurant to the Lenoir Golf Club parking lot. The new line will allow for more volume and help reduce inflow and infiltration into the sewer system. The project will also make it easier for the City to connect the greenway via the Harper Avenue bridge across Lower Creek.
