28-year-old Leann Saevang of 6th Avenue Drive S.W. in Conover has been arrested by Hickory Police on charges of felonious restraint, resisting a public officer, and injuring or tampering with a vehicle. She had previously been arrested in June of 2022 for assaulting an officer.

Saevang was jailed today (September 13) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $5,000. A first appearance in District Court is coming up tomorrow in Newton.
