27-year-old Leann Saevang of 6th Avenue Drive SW in Conover was arrested Tuesday (June 7) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of assault with physical injury to a law enforcement, probation or parole officer and assault with a deadly weapon on a government official along with a misdemeanor count of injury to personal property. Saevang was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (June 8).
