CONOVER, N.C. (WHKY) – 28-year-old Troy Nicholas Conley of 10th Street NW in Conover was arrested Wednesday (September 30) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with failure to register as a sex offender and two child support counts. Probation & Parole also charged Conley with parole violation.

Conley is a sex offender as a result of a conviction in Catawba County in June, 2020 for two counts of indecent liberties with a minor. Following the arrest, he was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $100,600 bond. He had Thursday (October 1) and October 15 District Court dates scheduled.
