45-year-old Jordan Ashley Abernathy of Rock Barn Road NE in Conover was arrested today (February 27) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. The charges filed against Abernathy are trafficking, opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, possession of meth, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Abernathy was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $70,000 bond. A District Court date is scheduled for Tuesday (February 28).
