32-year-old Johnny Ray Grant of Turtle Dove Road in Conover was arrested Sunday (July 9) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of common law robbery and larceny of a motor vehicle. Grant is also charged with assault on a female, interfere with emergency communication, resisting a public officer, simple possession of schedule II controlled substance, non-support of a child, and failure to appear on counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and breaking or entering.

Grant was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $30,500 bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (July 11). District Court dates are scheduled for July 31 and August 21.
