Conover Man Charged with Misdemeanor & Felony Failure to Appear

22-year-old Jason Daniel Sanchez Hopper of Opal Creek Drive in Conover was arrested by Hickory Police at shortly before nine o’clock last Thursday morning (July 8) on felony and misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. He reportedly failed to appear in court on charges of possession of methamphetamine and one count each of possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hopper was taken into custody without incident at an address on Highway 321 S.W. in Hickory. He was taken to the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $5,000 secured bond. He remained in custody as of this afternoon (July 12). An appearance in Superior Court was scheduled for September 7 in Newton.
