Conover Man Charged With Larceny, Forgery Counts By Two Agencies

29-year-old Gage Andrew Ward of 3rd Street SE in Conover was arrested Wednesday (August 19) on charges filed by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office and Conover Police Department.

He’s charged by the Sheriff’s Office with felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense, larceny of chose in action, and forgery of an instrument. The Conover Police Department charged Ward with felony and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, felony breaking and entering, three counts of uttering a forged instrument and two counts of forgery of an instrument.

Ward was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $10,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (August 20).
