Conover Man Charged With Fleeing From Police, Failure To Appear On Heroin Counts

25-year-old Tyler David Swink of Rifle Range Road in Conover was arrested Thursday (July 22) by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. He’s charged with flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, and failure to appear on two counts of trafficking, opium or heroin and one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver heroin. Swink was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $152,500 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today, he’s scheduled to appear in Superior Court September 7.
