38-year-old Samuel Wade Lawrence of 32nd Street SE in Conover was arrested Tuesday (September 26) on charges filed by the Claremont Police Department and Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. Claremont Police charged Lawrence with possession of methamphetamine and resisting a public officer and the Sheriff’s Office charged him with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Following the arrest, Lawrence was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $3,000 bond. District Court dates were scheduled today (September 27) and Thursday (September 28).
