56-year-old Mark Brian Morris, who is listed as a homeless person from Conover, has been arrested by Probation & Parole Officers in Catawba County on charges of breaking & entering, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana up to half-an-ounce. He was also charged with a misdemeanor probation violation. Morris is on probation as he serves a 12-month suspended sentence following a conviction in August of this year in Catawba County on charges for B&E, schedule VI drugs, and paraphernalia.

Morris was jailed today (November 13) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $10,000. He was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today in Newton.
