Conover Man Arrested On Drug, Firearm, Probation Violation Charges

37-year-old Justin Corey Michaels of Conover was arrested by authorities in Anson County on charges from Catawba County. He’s charged with two counts apiece of possession of methamphetamine and felony probation violation. Michaels is also charged with felony maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, sale and delivery of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, and traffic counts.

Michaels is on probation as a result of a conviction in Catawba County in December, 2023 for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility this morning (June 3) under $125,000 bond. Superior Court dates were scheduled today and for June 27.
