CONOVER, N.C. (WHKY) – A Conover man is facing multiple felony charges following an arrest Saturday (July 18). The charges were filed in Mecklenburg County.

34-year-old Damien Delonte Wright of Conover was arrested by the Conover Police Department and charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, assault by pointing a gun, and communicating threats. The burglary charge is from Mecklenburg County.

Wright is being held in the Catawba County Detention Facility. His first court appearance is scheduled for July 21 in Mecklenburg County District Court. No additional details about the incident leading to the charges have been released.
