Conover Man Arrested for Probation Violation Following B&E and Larceny Convictions

47-year-old Nathan Scott Carroll of Rural Route 4 in Conover was arrested by Hickory Police last Friday morning (December 3) on an outstanding warrant for a felony probation violation. The warrant was issued on November 18, 2021. Carroll is on probation as he serves a 60-month suspended sentence following an October 2021 conviction in Alexander County for felony larceny and a 30-month suspended sentence following a July 2021 conviction in Catawba County on felony counts of breaking & entering and larceny after breaking & entering.

Carroll was taken into custody without incident at about 2:20 a.m. Friday at the intersection of South Center Street and Highway 127 in Hickory. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $5,000, secured. He is no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. A Superior Court appearance was scheduled today (December 6) in Newton.
