Conover Man Arrested for Fleeing to Elude Arrest
41-year-old Robert Earl Setzer, who is listed as a homeless person from Conover, has been arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on charges of felony fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer. He was also charged with twice failing to appear in court for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Setzer was jailed yesterday (April 20) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $8,000. He remained in jail as of this morning. An appearance in District Court was scheduled yesterday in Newton. No additional court dates are currently listed.
