On August 24, 2023, Burke County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Narcotics Investigators, and North Carolina Probation & Parole conducted a search after many public complaints of 7200 Rhodhiss Road in Connelly Springs. While searching the residence approximately 6 grams of suspected Heroin were located.

23-year-old Danny Edward Yates of Rhodhiss Road in Connelly Springs was arrested Thursday (August 24) by Burke County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Narcotics Investigators, and North Carolina Probation & Parole Officers. Danny Edward Yates was transported to the Magistrate’s Office and charged with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance and felony maintaining vehicle or dwelling for controlled substance. Yates remains in jail as of this morning (August 30) under $20,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled for August 25.
