29-year-old Jeremy Aaron Huffman of Sam Huffman Road in Connelly Springs was arrested yesterday (May 17) by Hickory Police on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. Huffman is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office in Cherokee County, Georgia for a probation violation in connection with charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and escape.

Following his arrest, Huffman was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where he is being held without bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
