53-year-old Fred Ray Hildebran of Van Horn Road in Connelly Springs was arrested by Hickory Police Tuesday night (November 2) on felony and misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. He reportedly failed to appear in court on one felony count of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor counts of carrying a concealed gun and possession of marijuana up to half-an-ounce.
Hildebran was taken into custody without incident at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 70 S.W. and 19th Street S.W. in Hickory. He was taken to the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $6,000 secured bond. He has since been released. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled yesterday (November 3) in Newton. No additional court dates on the failure to appear charges are currently listed; however, Hildebran will appear in court on a felony larceny charge and for a probation violation on November 23.
