One person was seriously injured in a crash earlier today (September 14) in Alexander County. This morning emergency crews responded to the intersection of NC Highway 127 and Shiloh Church Road in Bethlehem. A medical helicopter responded to the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m.

According to reports, the accident involved a vehicle colliding with a moped. The operator of the moped was airlifted to a regional medical facility with what are described as life-threatening injuries. No other information was available.
