Claremont Woman Again Arrested on a Felony Drug Charge

37-year-old Jacquelyn Michelle Moss of Twilight Drive in Claremont was arrested by Hickory Police Friday (February 16) on one felony count of trafficking in heroin or opium, along with misdemeanor counts of simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of a schedule II, III, or IV controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moss was taken into custody without incident at about 11 o’clock Friday night near an auto dealership on Highway 70 S.E. in Hickory. She was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where she was initially held without bond. Moss remained in custody as of this afternoon (February 21) with bond now set at $15,000. An appearance in Superior Court is coming up on March 4 in Newton. Moss also has a Superior Court date scheduled for April 1 in Caldwell County on a number of felony drug charges.

The suspect had previously been arrested by Hickory Police on January 24 on a felony meth charge.
