Claremont, Taylorsville Residents Charged With Fentanyl Possession
34-year-old Jodi Ann Marie Brock of Claremont and 22-year-old Mason Timothy Bruner of Taylorsville were arrested last Thursday (November 2) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. They’re both charged with felony possession of fentanyl and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Brock is additionally charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of schedule IV controlled substance.
The suspects were arrested following a traffic stop conducted by the Sheriff’s Office in the evening hours last Thursday. According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, Brock has multiple convictions listed dating back to 2010. She’s been convicted of various crimes, with most of the cases being in Lincoln County. Her most recent conviction was in February, 2020 in Catawba County for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bruner has a pair of convictions listed on that website, in 2018 and 2019 in Alexander County on misdemeanor charges. Both suspects remained in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today (November 7). Brock was being held under $25,000 secured bond, Bruner’s bond was set at $20,000 secured. Both suspects were scheduled to appear in District Court Monday (November 6).
