54-year-old Jerry Daniel Withers of Hamlet Drive in Claremont was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with assault by strangulation and simple assault. Withers was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility this morning (October 19) without bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today.
