25-year-old Delone Allison Goss of Claremont has been arrested by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers on felony counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and theft of a motor vehicle, along with misdemeanor counts of assault on a female, assault by pointing a gun, communicating threats, and criminal domestic trespass.
Events leading to Goss’ arrest began at about 10:30 Wednesday morning (August 25) when a call came into Alexander County Communications regarding a vehicle that was stolen at gunpoint. Sheriff’s Officers responded to a residence off of Friendship Church Road in Wittenburg. Upon arrival, Officers found the suspect, Delone Allison Goss, in the stolen vehicle. The suspect was ordered to get out of the vehicle. A firearm was found in the vehicle and seized.
The victim told Officers that Goss showed up at the residence as the result of a domestic situation. The suspect became angry with the victim, struck her, and took her cell phone at gunpoint. Goss then stole her vehicle and left the residence, but returned a short time later.
Goss was arrested and placed in the Alexander County Detention Center, where he was jailed under a $62,000 secured bond. A first appearance in Alexander County District Court is coming up on Monday (August 30).
