The City of Hickory has reported a discharge of an estimated 1,100 gallons of untreated wastewater yesterday (April 26) at 2130 9th Avenue N.E. The untreated wastewater was discharged into Lyle Creek in the Catawba River Basin due to a pipe failure. According to a press release issued by the city, the water remains safe.
