HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) — A Charlotte man was jailed in Catawba County on multiple assault and break-in charges following an arrest by Hickory Police.

47-year-old Nelson Conelius Weathers of Hazelcroft Lane in Charlotte was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility on Sunday, September 20.

He is charged with felony assault by strangulation, assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon, and felony breaking or entering to terrorize or injure.

The detention roster lists Weathers for an appearance today, September 21, in Newton District Court. No bond amount was shown with the four charges in the roster information reviewed.
