A Charlotte man was arrested Tuesday on drug-related charges in Maiden. According to the Maiden Police Department, 45-year-old Draper Scott Laney was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked, not impaired.

Laney was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $7,500 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Newton District Court on July 13.
