50-year-old Michael Maurice Wade of Charlotte was arrested Sunday (May 21) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony attempt to obtain controlled substance by forgery or fraud. Wade was arrested without incident at 3:50 p.m. Sunday at an address on Springs Road in Hickory and was brought to the Catawba County Detention Facility under $1,000 secured bond. He was not listed as an inmate in Catawba County today. A District Court date is set for June 12.
