Charlotte Man Accused of Stealing from Denver, N.C. Landscaping Business
39-year-old Charles Reynold Wright of Charlotte was arrested by Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Deputies on October 4 on two felony counts of breaking & entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny, and felony possession of stolen goods. He was also served with outstanding warrants from Cabarrus and Union counties. He was charged in connection with a May 2023 break-in at a Denver, North Carolina business.
On May 8, Deputies were dispatched to New River Landscaping on Sinclair Street in Denver where the break-in occurred. Company officials told Officers that sometime during the night, someone cut the fence around the business and stole landscaping equipment worth $3,600 from the company’s vehicles.
During the investigation, Detectives determined that Charles Reynold Wright was involved in the theft. Wright is also the suspect charged in connection with another break-in at a Denver landscaping company. That incident occurred in January 2023. Currently, both cases are pending in court.
Following his arrest yesterday, Wright’s bond was set at $8,000, secured. He was released from jail the same day. He’ll appear in Lincoln County District Court on October 25. He has Superior Court dates in Cabarrus County on October 12 as an habitual felon and in Union County on October 20 on a felony larceny charge.
