The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has filed child-pornography related charges against a county resident. On Wednesday (May 28) Deputies charged 20-year-old Landon Samuel Bolton of Taylorsville with six-counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The charges are connected to the alleged downloading and distributing via the internet, of explicit images of minors.

The investigation indicates that the activity dates back to December, 2025. The investigation also shows that no other similar type activity has occurred since. Bolton was jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $300,000 following the arrest.
