CCC&TI Baseball’s Ishmeal Named National Player of the Week

Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute baseball saw Breon Ishmael named division three baseball player of the week by the National Junior College Athletics Association on Wednesday.

The recognition is for performances in contests during the week of March 13-19.

Ishmael, an outfielder, hit .667 in two games with three triples, one double, and five runs scored. He helped lead the Cobras to a 9-1 victory over Patrick & Henry on March 14 and a 15-0 victory over Catawba Valley on March 16. For the season, Ishmael is batting .459 with six homeruns and 37 RBI. The baseball team is 19-2 overall and on a current 15 game winning streak.
